Get a solicitor, well worth paying for! Don't listen to everybody's good advice, everybody myself included has ideas about how you should handle the situation.

My two pence worth would be if your charged and go to court ask for trial by jury and hope you get a sympathetic one, after all they're people that live in the real world.

Good luck!

Easy for us to say the little bastard got what he deserved, and he surely only got half of what he should have, but I sincerely hope it doesn't end up being you who gets a record for this.... If it looks like you might, let us know and we can all start badgering our MP's to nip it in the bud.... Good on you....

Good thinking. Hope you come out of this ok, bad enough being stolen from but to do it under your nose and expect to walk away from it...............no chance.

Good on you for sticking up for what you have worked for and take pride in. Any jury worth their salt will realise you were the innocent guy trying to protect his business and stop a blatant criminal. Good luck:thumbup1:
