Last had one in 1970 and it hurt like hell for days; I've never had the flu though!

Most people I know who qualify for the free jab don't bother any more, the chance of getting full blown flu is pretty remote, compared to the effects of the jab making them feel so rough for a few days.

I do qualify for the free one, but tbh I don't see the point. I can't recall the lSt time I had proper flu, and there's no jab against man flu any way.

ugghhh I recall clearly the last time i had flu.....which makes it all the more fustrating when i hear people saying they have 'the flu' when they just have a bit of a cold

I think as a race we would know if we were hit by a major flu virus, such as the Sapnish Flu epidemic, as it would decimate the population. The viruses we get are tame in comparison. I believe that taking some of these meds unnecessarily just weakens the immune system, and therefore weakens our ability to stave off illness.
