Broken Gas Strut

As the title says, the gas strut on my kwickchip 222 for the emergency stop bar has finally rusted up and broken. I'm having real issues finding the correct replacement, they are rated according to their strength. I don't suppose any of you good fellas know what type I'm looking for to replace it with or if not a good reliable supplier that I can talk to about it?

welwel, Who is the manufacturer of the piston?, My supplier is Stabilus and they have locations around the world including the UK. If you can pull a part number off the owners manual or from the manufacturers website you may find what your looking for. Any other help PM me and I will do what I can from here.

Thanks for the offer but the outer is rusty and generally shite, so it's impossible to get any info at all!

Should be able to match these on dimensions alone.

Not that simple, I am afraid!. The Newton force is key and I beleive with out the original serial number off of the machine or part number from the owners manual you may have more fun pounding sand:sneaky2:. Try to secure an owners manual and get the part number and go from there. You should be able to download an owners manual with a make and model number of the machine you have.
