Nice one Matt

Did you give up on the idea of a Mog?

That looks like a pretty snazzy post rammer

cheers mate. yes I think the tractor makes a better post rammer carrier for the awkward sort of jobs I get as its easy to just look over your shoulder to manouvere the tractor in to tight spots. Also most of my jobs are within 15 miles or so, so not sure I,d benefit from the faster road speed of a mog as much as I think.

yes got the post rammer last year- it used to go on my old zetor 7045 but the front wheels spent most of the time off the ground:laugh1:

It is a MT8 050

Rare in the UK but there are quite a few clips on you tube presumably from eastern Europe.

I think they were not actually made by Zetor but were rebadged

35hp and weighs just over a ton I think.

It has front linkage and pto.

I have seen a couple on ebay over the years but not another with duel wheels.

John

  • 2 years later...

Aside from currently rendering myself relatively skint (as a result of an implusive house purchase, viewed, offered and offer acceptded in 10 days) I am still in the notion o a compact tractor with a loader.

And really like those equal wheel Zetors btw.

Anyway seriously eying up a Hurliman Prince 45 or a Kubota MK5000, when I spot Zetor are about to start production of a new model, a 49HP "Minor" in early 2017.

And Zetors are supposed to be cheap or at least affordable?

Hmmmm!

I used to be a zetor fan (still am in a way) but I had two older models and the reacurring problems I had were, crankshaft seeks (and indeed most seels on the tractor) just couldn't seem to keep the oil in despite having them changed by a good agri engineer. Then there was the brakes- or rather lack off- spent my life trying to keep them vaguely effective, or at least one side! Hydraulic are very weak and the last straw for me was when the hydraulic system only worked when pointing uphill despite full oil and new filter, they both got sold to Poland and yes the parts are cheap but the constant downtime isn't.

Got newer Same tractor now and it's not let me down in nearly 3 years.

I still think Zetors are good basic tractors but I'd only have another one if it was never going on the roads and I had plenty of time on my hands! Iv heard the new zetors are pretty good now though.....
