Replacement hedge trimmer blades for £20!!!!! Stihl blades are about £180 for a pair, Echo are about double that, and Robin are treble figures too. Never seen any for £20. Okay, where from?

I did cover myself by saying I might be dreaming :laugh1:

Perhaps I was so pleased with the results I was blinded to the bill.

And it could've been 5 years ago.

After all these years of struggling to find someone who can actually do this properly, I have made do with files to keep the edge. But this is time consuming, laborious, tedious, boring, and I'm never altogether satisfied with the overall result.

So, I bought some diamond sharpening filing stones for my Not-A-Dremel, and I am chuffed with the results. Every trimmer is now cutting beautifully, I am well impressed with myself for my ingenuity. An hour well spent getting all trimmers back to perfection, happy days:thumbup:

Bugger - thats how I do it, quick, easy and works:thumbup: Thats another secret gone:lol:

Fair enough, maybe they were pattern parts? I know I nearly passed out at the price of the last set I replaced, due to broken teeth on a bleedin pig iron tucked in a hedge

Iron tucked in a hedge has seen off quite a few of our blades. I found the cheapest option once they were bent or broken was a whole new stihl end unit at about £200.
