i need a new saw for cutting firewood.

needs to cut hardwood cord. about 25'' max

 

what do i need to get

 

The best , most powerful you can afford. I am a husky man myself but any good make in the 60cc to 80cc range .

MS 460 is awesome, Husky 390xpg is also good, cant comment on other brands as i have no experience at this size. Also consider; ms660, if funds allow!

 

If its any help I have a 390xp and it runs a 28" bar and an 8 pin power mate no problems . ( I have every other Husky in the pro range as well ) so can recommend the 390 . Might be more saw than you need but hey !

is the 390 xp a good saw, what size bar is best, i do not think i need that i need that much power

 

would you say more power a faster cut?

what size timbers would you cut with it
