What set up us everyone using? 3/8th .325 - 7 or 8 pin? What's the pros and cons of each?

I am using .325 7pin as standard . I did try an 8 pin which was fine when only cutting small dia stuff but when worked hard in big wood , the full length of the bar (18") the auto tune would shut it down . Went back to a 7 and its fine . Since all that I have had it tweaked by petemate on here who will sort the auto tune huskys so it may be alright on an 8 pin now but not tried it yet .

well mine is now 3 months old and looks like its been dredged up after full time felling. Brilliant saw a joy to use but there are a few problems all that have been sorted by warranty.

Side starter cover pulley bearing thing snapped from the side case. Replaced free.

On 2 saws the same front exhaust mounting bolt vibrates out wheather threadlocked or not....annoying just keep checking.

Oil leak under the exhaust..think its an out of shape rubber bit that sends the oil to the bar, only when its full. Still looking at this one!

I ve overheated it twice and it had a fit on full throttle revs rose and fell, left for ten mins its is fine.

Been running 68 link chain 18" bar and 58 link 16" bar both on 3/8 pulls both well.

All in all i love this saw but i think it could have been made more carefully, both money and weight saving i think are to blame. The autotune is brilliant!

Buy one!

So most of you recomend the 560xp aside from its little niggles but has anyone got any experiance with the 555 going by the spec sheet it's prety much the same saw only without rev boost or silver bits and being as I prefer my 353 to my mates 346xp do you think it may be a better choice. It's also a bit cheaper I'm guessing just because it's not an xp
