if you're ever gonna work on railways then you can't wear a red or green hemlet. something to do with signals and stupid train drivers. but other than that i'm sure you can wear any colour helmet as long as it conforms to the standard.

Theres a new rule on the railway that if your a newbie to the rail work you have to wear a blue helmet (for 2 years i think it is), Some guys at work have just got them, For everyone else they prefer white but orange is ok!!

I have a Stein helmet, Ill be swapping my clear plastic visor for a mesh one soon, It pissed down today and i couldnt really see out of it, It was obviously wet and saw dust stuck to it pretty well!! Plus i wear glasses and sometimes its a pain in the arse trying to get it over the specs!

Yeah, i can imagine there could be problems with condensation and saw dust sticking in the wet! But for the summer, i think the smoked visor will be ok. Not sure how long it'll stay in good condition tho, reckon they will scratch pretty quickly in our industry. Nevermind, i'll give it a try!
