Really freaking unbearably painfully cold.....

 

Yes yes they sure are I brought some expensive winter socks hoping they would help and they done sweet f all. Apart from that I have had 2 pairs and they are a cracking boot never once had wet feet and done a lot or work wading threw shallow rivers.

i like my tirol's, they start off wearable out the box but feel like a bad £200 idea as grip is not that good on smooth ground, but christ, when the sole wear's in they've got the grip of a set of gaff's, and after a year the only wear on them is a 2mm shamford edge on the tip of the sole, and they'er waterproof and your feet are warm in winter and never sweat at all in the summer.

i've had a few brands that people rave about but anything light and comfy with a moulded sole doesn't last more than 5-7 month's.

here's the but, you can't run very good in them and they are quite heavy for a day on the ground.

arran i wear scafells and there absolutley amazing 100% waterproof from top all the way to the bottom and comfy from first wear and ive had mine since jan and been in them for many hours a day most days and still perfect not a much scuff wot so ever plus they come with an attachable spikes on the sole which isnt sharp so no harm to the tree but do help with the wet limbs i love mine plus they aint clunky so u can feel those nooks and crannys when climbing but would be interesting to see what other people think of them hope this helps dude and get in touch soon gotta check out the forest next to my house for reccy waahaa
