id marking chainsaws and other equipment

Hi all just after some thoughts on were and how to mark saws for id ing in the event of them being stolen any ideas would be most welcome?:confused1:

on same topic. If anyone has had any sthil machines knicked in the local area, York police have a few they have lifted in a recent raid. I went down on Friday to have a look at a blower and strimmer. Both looked brand new no serial no's and alas not mine. Don't know what others they had, they would not say.

Firstly I engrave on the back handle/tank and chain break cover where it can be seen then inside the the covers on any metal surface I can get too .
