Just purchased some up rated terrafirma shocks and springs for my defender. Has anyone bought some and changed them themselves or should I take it to a garage? Been reading up on changing them seems not too bad.

They are super easy. Jack up, spring compressors on, pull out spring. Replace with new one. Unbolt shock and replace. Repeat for each corner!

Like Rob said, there very easy. The most difficult part I found was putting the plastic covers back on-top of the wings inside the engine compartment!

Track rod got hit by a stump the other day and put a helluva bend in it, tracking was out somewhat!

Just put on a sumobar from Gwyn Lewis. Same price as an original, about £90.

Could have bought one from Britpart for £16:what: but wanted something a bit stronger than spaghetti holding my wheels together.
