You're a tougher man than me, Mr B. I was looking out of a classroom window today at some guys digging in the churchyard and was bloody glad to be inside. Cold, wet, windy, Southern wuss.

Nonsense Alex...we are all designed to be outdoors...we have such a temperate climate here."no such thing as bad weather...just the wrong clothing!" As they say. Anyway I happen to know that this is one of your favourite pastimes....very brave I would say...I do like this picture....you are in this Canoe right?

Not me but well spotted. That's one of my mate Adam's photos he put on facebook for this "10 photos that make me smile" thing that's going around at the mo. He nominated me to put up my 10. I've not done it yet but was actually just looking at some old ones on there and considering it. My fb feed has been mainly ranting and complaining recently so some positive vibes won't do any harm.

This is one of my favourite pics of me in a boat. Nighttime on Loch Oich, the wind going our way for the first time in a week and a bit.

It doesn't always go that well. This is the aftermath of me and Tom binning it on the lower Tryweryn in North Wales. He's 200m downstream and I'm wondering what to do with 3 tonnes of water.
