In Desperate times...My Silky saves the day!

£2.10 a pint , i can well believe it. I was in blackpool last year and guiness was £1.90 a pint. Why do i live in the south east???

I ask myself the same thing Varty....answer...work and girlfriend are both in London...but who knows what the future holds...Durham city is Stunningly beautiful and the Northumbrian Countryside is where i grew up....and my grandson and family are here...

My father in law comes from aberdeen, came to luton (vauxhall) in the early 60s. He,s always going on about how scotland is such a great place to live, when i asked "why did you come down here then" he said "no work up north" Cant have it both ways i suppose.

There is work everywhere in London if you look for it...and compared to the North East the streets really are paved with gold...trust me,i've been frequenting The big smoke for 30 years:rolleyes:
