cobra is good but boa is good too, i thinking tree worker does it. honey brothers sell cobra. it comes in 3 sizes cobra mini, cobra standard aprox 2 tonne, cobra plus 4 tonne. ive used all. cobra plus is a real pain in the arse to use. i would recomend standard unless your tree is small then use mini. wouldnt bother using their shrink wraps, just use electic tape..

cobra is pretty easy to use now, theyve changed the shock asorbers material so you dont need lube anymore, likes been said above, electrical tapes a good substitute to the shrink wrap

done much bracing before?

A bit in the past, mainly cables (bad old days). I've been a groundie a couple of times when Cobra has been used but this will be the first time I personally will be doing it. How about you ?

I find that a lot of people would rather just have the offending limb(s) removed rather than brace them.

Is that some kind of joke...? Of course you realise that BS3998 does not cover use of anything other than "flexible" bracing ( cables then...... )

Where is our updated bs standard? All drilling and bolts and such....why are we waiting??:bored:

do about 2-4 braces a month. makes a nice change, especially when shouting from the tree "ive dropped my black dildo" (my name for the shock asorber):001_smile:
