No not really, I've climbed on many different ropes, I chuck it over a tree swing from it, if it don't break and I die she's good'n. Boots are slightly different but you don't know till you go in the shop and touch and admire it.

It is down to preference I guess which is why it bores me to death seeing which rope, which saw which car, Arb talk use to be full of cool tree pics and big chippers, people doing cool things, now on the rare occasion come on its just washed out with meaningless questions from people who can't decide what bog roll to wipe there bum with in the morning , which waters down the interesting threads

At the end of the day rope is just a big bit of string

 Fair point! Incidentally, what bog roll would you recommend, personally I don't like it too thick, can't get in all the cracks....

I think I should by thick and luxurious because I work hard and earn good money but in reality just end up using loads and blocking the toilet. I have andrex puppy at the moment its a bit to soft. I prefer own brand but not to cheap

How long?

Re the bog roll - slightly crisp is better than too soft. First wipe - 3 sheets, second wipe - 3 sheets, final polish - 2 sheets. Seems to work well and is compatible with all climbing techniques as far as I can tell.

I bought some cheap bog roll a while back and I had to loose about 40 odd sheets as it milked terribly .
