busy month for training

ive have cs 32 staring tomorrow, cs38 starting on the 23rd and cs39 starting on the 30th.... gona be another busy month.

thanks mate am feeling confident. ive had a fair bit of experiance felling big tree's and a fair bit of experiance climbing, and conduct a few rescues of a pole and from the canopy be4.. the only bit im worried about is winching out a hung up tree

Winching out a biggun isn't much different. There's just a bit more weight involved. Techniques are very similar. Sometimes they have they weight as an advantage to carry themselves through the other trees which helps.

On mine I was winching for an hour. Make sure you eat your wetabix in te morning

ha ha on my assessment it took a few attempts to try and get a tree hung up but once i did dam it was not going to move it was stuck in a really tight fork of an oak so had to get the winch out and it took ages but the assessor was very patient and very helpful and gave me all the time i needed and in the end once it was down i passed with a flawless assessment.

Winching the bigger trees is pretty straight forward,9 times out of 10 they will come down pretty easily. Just occasionally you seem to get one that doesnt want to play fair and that's when you need your weetabix! lol

Same for me, doubled over cable too so had to do twice the amount!
