That's really interesting stuff Kevin, I missed this thread last time.

If this kind of information can help a climber have a better understanding of his gear, it should lead to safer working practices.

Last Saturday Ian Flatters and I did some drop tests on the rw with a lockjack, very similar tests to Kevin's. Hopefully once Ian has a chance to edit the footage they'll be posted here, and of use to people considering srt set ups:)
