I would imagine the blake's hitch ties onto the line just above the pully and relies on the stopper knot to keep it attached.

I have seen guys tie a single fishermans onto the pully body at that point before but never fancied it myself, fancy it even less with a stopper!

You can clip a micro pulley directly underneath a prussik or blakes and just hold it in place with a tiny prussik loop and micro krab on the static end of the rope. It does tend to "bind up" a bit more and burns normal prussik a bit faster than normal. It took me a bit of getting used to. Handy to know though.:001_smile:

It was quite common to tie one leg of a VT directly to the bridge of a petzl fixey pulley, the other leg being tied to the karabiner between the cheeks of the pulley. Only problem with that was the the petzl pulley didn't have a rated bridge althouth it was plenty strong enough, I think Chris Cowell tested some.

So ISC have just brought out a similar pulley and rated the bridge. They suggest tieing a blakes hitch but its for any hitch really. Stopper knot or fishermans will be fine.
