old mill have you tried the cambium saver tie off. personolly i find this much better and you dont have to get down the tree the same side to retrive your rope.i do use your method aswell but as they say,courses for horses..........i think thats how it goes:blushing:

 

I don't have a cambium saver. I used a Pulleysaver before I changed to SRT.

Damn auto correct! Shoulda said remove the tether and put a wrench from a tool kit in its place..

 

If we continue to allow iPhone auto correct to dictate this thread we're going to be in all sorts of trouble. I'll try and put the question correctly and it's nothing to do with my spanner set. Is the new stiff tether interchangeable with a normal tether on the current RW or is it a whole new RW specifically made with a stiff tether. Yeesh, didn't think that would be so hard :lol:
