Laser measuring

Hi All,

With the recent revisons to BS3998 and the TPO regs, and some LPA's now requiring the finalised dimensions of the pruned tree/branch appearing on the application form.... have people given much thought or had experience with any laser measurement devices?

They all appear initially quite an investment, but are they worth it, do they save time, make life easier?

What devices also measure crown spread necessary for BS5837 reports, I have looked at the Nikon Forestry 550, which appears decent value for money, but not sure if this does this or is just a laser range/distance finder?

Nikon | Sport Optics | Forestry 550

Any help or ideas much appreciated. :thumbup1:

Cheers

Thanks S O C, does the trupulse easily measure crown spread/span also?

Paul Smith not sure if your question was amusingly rhetoric, or genuine? ;) if it's the latter, i've seen it on some sites for around £300 - £330.
