Doweled this one is, is there another way to biscuit joint without buying a machine ?? never used one before. The other smaller frames I'm doing a lap joint then a dowel through.

 

I've seen another guy that does mirrors when I have stalls on but he silicone's the mirrors to the wood :001_rolleyes: each to there own I guess, it's a shame as they are nice mirrors but its the first thing I spotted.

:thumbup1:hi Ian, I tend to either mitre my mirrors then glue and biscuit joint the corners, my biscuit machine isnt fancy , cost no more than a drill, but comes in handy for jooining smaller boards together if i want to make toy boxes etc,so worth the investment,

and the other way i do them if dont want mitres,is the same as you ,half lap and dowls,using different colour dowls to make a feature,i have some rounding planes to make any size dowl i need ,so its handy,,,

your mirror is sweet,so carry on mate,,,:thumbup:
