We chipped an elm yesterday and then moved onto another job of chipping an elm, the chipper blocked up, we cleared it and it blocked again, I took the side cover off and found a snapped flywheel belt, thus not having enough power to blow through wet, sappy elm. I stripped the machine today and this is what I foundImageUploadedByTapatalk1340902211.486170.jpg.c4fdbe55972fd552bcaf86192756aac2.jpg

Cleaned it out and fingers crossed.:)

Not a bad day to be inside working on machinery. Are you changing bearings while your in there? My bottom feed roller went yesterday should be sorted tomorrow though.

I changed the bearings back in January mate so they should be ok. It's been very wet today, the main street of Kendal was like a river, Iceland flooded!!

Funny that, I've done nothing but sweat it's been that hot and dry. Never seen a chipper block up like that before, must be the good weather in this part of the country.....
