Looks horrible..... Separate the pile, stack anything bigger than 9", chip or burn anything smaller- not worth bothering with.

It looks well seasoned so if you try splitting it will probably break up. Looks like someone has been through and taken all the processor size stuff. We produce a cubic metre in about 20 mins if the stuff is around 8 inch dia. But I can remember putting 3 in stuff through with two men and after about 2 hrs we had 1.5 cubic metres on the floor.

Chainsaw and axe/ splitter on the big stuff, and logging bench ( like the hakki pilke eagle) on the sub 6" stuff. or a bilke?

 

Here in France, woodland owners sell the kind of stuff you have there, thats left on the forest floor after harvesting. anything over 7cm diameter is up for grabs, less than this is left to rot and improve the soil.

You go armed with chainsaw and axe, cut into 1m lengths and stack in piles 1m high. you are then charged by the m3, last time i did it it was 17 euros a meter. No out lay for the owner, no hard work for the owner, money for the owner for 0 effort! just an idea.

Like the pick your own idea, and if anything is left that is " filth " then burn it or chip it, or use yourself.

Cant really see a problem but you will need two to process it. One on the pile passing the timber out and the other processing. Output will not be as quick as nice straight timber but the guy on the pile should be able to keep the guy on the processor feed with timber. Timber will also be harder to split if already seasoned compared to fresh green timber.

I processed a pile like that on Sunday, either oversize and needing two trips through the splitter or 4 inch or less. I was doing 1 cu m an hour on my own using a JAPA 700.

Easyest way to make out of that is to seperate into smaller more managable piles and stick them on Ebay Buyer collects!! you do very little work and you'd be surprised what people will pay if they think there getting a bargain!!

1 cubic metre an hour? Are you sure you meant that, it does seem quite a small amount for a processor.

 

Our Dalen 2052 does that in about 5 mins, granted smaller stuff it will take a bit longer

Must be the Turbo charged Dalen 2052 as the youtube video seems to be pretty slow and would certainly not do a m3 in 5 minutes.
