500+ Pine to extract, need some advice please

Recommended Posts

Sounds like an interesting job, more forestry than arb, if that makes sense.

I would get those trees on the ground asap, so your machinery isnt sat arround doing nothing. I hate having men sat in the cab waiting for a cutter to drop a tree.

Plan your extraction routes carefully, plan for break downs and watch out for golf balls.

I know that it sounds like common sense and I'm sure that you dont need me to tell you this, but i have seen some really un co-ordinated sites and the managers didn't plan.

Remember, Piss Poor Planning Prevents Perfect Proformance, and Slow is smooth and smooth is fast!

Good luck!

Sounds like everyday forestry work. Getting 500 trees out in 4 weeks shouldn't pose too much of a problem unless there are serious access issues. I can also provide the cutters and extraction to roadside should you require it on a per tonne basis. Please PM me if interested.
