why would you want a hydraulically powered chain saw?? you're either working in a flammable/explosive, oxygen deficient or sub-aqua location??

They're OK if you don't mind dragging the hoses about.

Why?.......well

Next to no vibe so no numb fingers

Almost silent, all you hear is the chain

No need for a chain brake because the chain won't run on

No fumes unless you are sat on the tractor and none at all if it's electrically powered.

More grunt than you can use

The hoses are an issue but the pro's outweigh the cons particularly for a log man in a yard like John.

I love mine

A very understated tool , you can run one from thd tractor the same time as the splitter , I can go through well over 5 litres in a day plus 2 stroke that's over 50 pounds a week in a petrol chainsaw , there also used from a mewp basket for small cuts if you have a supply to the basket like I used to

Yep, no fumes in bucket when working up close with it, little or no kick back.

13" bar on my CS06.

12" bar on on pole saw.

Seen a few that are older, also maybe heavier & leaks. The above got sent from a utility arb company and they are good (expensive), but very light, even with the hoses.
