Where abouts is that sounds a laugh. Is there a website anywhere!

It's called Pure Tech Racing and there is a web site still on line. They've recently been bought by Capsicum who's home page is up so you can view both.

The place is in Horley, 3 minutes drive from the M23.

To give you an idea of how realistic it is, I've been a few times and drivers from F3 and GP2 teams have been there with their engineer spending hours going round Monaco etc.

They also do all the simulator building and work for teams like Lotus F1, Renault F1 etc.

It's seriously cool.:thumbup1:

Hello,

I love those bikes!

When I was a teen I worked for several bike stores including Geoffrey Butler in South Croydon.

I saved up my paper round money and bought a Raleigh mountain bike back in 1984/5, what a heavy iron horse that was but it had 15 gears and decent wide cantilevers.

I have attached a photo of me during the 2007 Paris-Brest-Paris 1200km event which I completed in 77hours on a George Longstaff tricycle.

Last year 2011 I rode a different machine, a carbon Specialized 'Roubaix' and got in under 62hours.

However...I am getting married soon so I shall have to buy a tandem.

That way we can continue to enjoy exploring France together.

Ty

Saracens were only halfords jobbies after halfords bought the brand, got them made in malaysia and it all went down hill from there.

Before that, saracens were handbuilt in derbyshire, unfortunatly "halfords" has ruined the image of the brand, but the same can be said of cannondales, they are now just mass produced junk.

The yellow one is an '88 saracen tufftrax, so very similar to the muddyfox courier.

Claud Butler went the same way

The TA seems to take up most of the time that would otherwise be free. Apart from that I spend quite a bit of time either in the gym or running and when the chance presents itself I get on my bike and ride.

The list is endless mate. Specialised is one of the few that still has its original founder still on the board, the rest are just brand names that get sold back and forth and many companies make bikes under lots different brand names. Trek and giant make lots of other bikes.

There are some independent companies still going but the bikes are expensive. "independent fabrication" is probably the best and is run by the original frame builders of "fat city cycles" which went busy years ago.

What gun will you be taking? Had a few hours out today with monkeysteve. Ended the day with 22 rabbits, 2 pigeons and a jackdaw. Shot of the day was a 140 yard rabbit.

That must be some kind of record? The biggest rabbit iv seen was only about 4 feet stretched right out.

140 yards. What the hell calibre we're you using for that one....

In the interest of what calibres are recommended for what type of vermin I thought .22 was rabbit and 17hmr.

Anything more is going up the scale for fox etc.

Must have been aiming way high and god knows how far to one side to adjust for wind.

Just my .22 lr aiming about 18 inch high. It was a lucky shot to be honest. Had a few at about 120yds before.

I've got a slot for a .17hmr, I'll treat myself some point.

.22 and .17hmr can be issued for use on fox by some issuing forces. My mate had my .22 before I got it and had fox on his ticket, I bought it and shoot the same ground with the same ammo but can't shoot fox. I'd rather something with a bit more stopping power for a fox tbh.
