Is there anyone in the Scunthorpe/Doncaster area who hires a firewood processor with operator, or would travel to this area?

Prices needed to cut artic lorry load of cord wood 2/3m lengths about 300m diam.

How long will it take roughly?

Thanks

Mark

Output would be governed by the availablility of a teleporter or similar to load a feed rack and what length you wanted your logs cut to. It takes twice the time to cut at 240mm than it does at 500mm.

Suspect you both may be better off buying a used small procerssor and tractor.

I can hire out my Japa 375 with operator, but you are looking at around 300 per day plus the moving of the machine to you plus need a tractor with pto min 35hp. Can do around 7 tonnes of hardwood per day but as previous comments say, need a loadall with grab to load and that will also cost, so might be worth looking towards the 2nd hand market for a machine that may cost 3k but will be well worth it. Or why not just use chainsaw and petrol splitter!?????????

FIREWOOD PROCESSOR LOG SPLITTER for sale in Laois : €3,450 - DoneDeal.co.uk

This is from JK fabrications, he has been mentioned on here before. Not bad value for a new machine.
