Was asked to build a memorial bench this week. Milled from oak I felled in the autumn. It was my second attempt at a bench in this design. The first time I built one of these, I was just going to screw the back onto the uprights but decided I'd rather take the time to put them through the uprights. This go was no different really except I think it was much tidier. Anyway, here's a couple of pictures....

I'm going to grind off the thread of the bolts which are exposed under the seat. I was time constrained and didn't have the grinder to hand at the time so will remove as soon as I get a moment.
