Sir Ranulph Fiennes

There was a thread on him before , and to be honest he is a very self centered arrogant person . The type of individual that asks a question and then promptly cuts you off mid reply . Nothing but respect for his achievements . Although the man in my eyes is Lofty Wiseman .

The guy's passed Selection - twice. That puts him in an elite club by itself, before even starting on any of his other achievements.

He may well have his character flaws, but don't we all? His lack of perfection in the character department (if true) needn't detract from his obvious talents.

And in the recent court case (1) he wasn't a defentant, the production company was and (2) the production company won in the Court of Appeal.

Read his book a few years back - very interesting character with alot of stories to tell.

He only became an 'explorer' because he was dismissed from the army after a prank involving lots of explosives!

Where did you get the tickets from? I'd like to go to that too.

Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury's New Entertainment Venue :: theatre severn SHREWSBURY

There you go fella

Shud be a good night, i find it hard to form an opinion on the man myself when he's achieved so much at the age that he did, especially as none of the males in my family have lived much past 60 due to ill health, i'm willing to listen to anyone who has something to say based on what they've done not what they think!

I can see where your coming from . They both deserve respect . What I said earlier wasn't meant to be derogatory in anyway . Sir Ranulph is focused and a high achiever , which could account for a sharper character . Lofty on the other hand relaxed and approachable .
