the but sections went to robert dyer who has the alaskan mills at the arb shows, the main section had quite extensive decay though, all the rest is fire wood.

i started climbing at 8 and was finished by 3 with a tea break and lunchbreak and went back the next day to fell the stem and sort it out for collection by farwells with the timber lorry all done by lunch. so a day and a half total. the guys on the ground were brilliant,having the digger and grain trailers sped things up as stuff could be dropped big and handled with the machinery.there was a fair bit of rigging, didnt want to damage the hedging below and the main gas pipeline that ran down one side
