Apprentice took out a few Massaria branches from the same tree today, one live one dead.

The live one (lhs disc) presented with very odd desiccation.

Not at all the typical form (rhs disc)

That LHS branch looks very odd. Any pics of the bark on that one?

 

Very little bark on it Jake, just a thin slither underneath.

You can just make it out at 5 o clock.

 

 

Didn't get a shot, but it's still on the trailer. I'll try and remember tomorrow

Rescued the branch before chipping, very little bark on it.

Left hand disc is from the branch shown below, right hand disc is from another branch.

Most of them I think Sean.

 

 

But ofcourse we don't have the proportion of plane populations like the Royal Parks have.

 

Perhaps 5-600 plane trees out of our 20,000 or so total.
