I agree with skyhuck...why???. My scabbard stays in the wagon. Try a weaver tool strop and shorted it when its not in use with a snap or a caritool.

why would you wanna climb with a scabbard on your saw in the tree..... i can see why some of you boys moan coz you cant get enough money on your jobs. doing silly things like that a 1 day job will take you 3 days.......

holy guacamole.. severe reaction to the scabbard thread! Just to clarify, I don't bother as it's too much hassle so put the baseball bats down! Just thought I'd try it as that is what they intended for them.

It will only be a matter of time before someone starts their saw with a scabbard on!

Like Arbogrunt says, high clip it with a Weaver strop or similar to keep it off your legs.

With a large Petzl Caritool you can also clip your saw directly to the Caritool using the top handle with the bar horizontal when ascending a ladder. *

Yeah I always keep the saw clipped right up to my harness but dangling down. Not got a caritool though I might get one so I can have it horizontal. I'm also used to a 14" bar so loving having a 12" in the tree. Got the choice now.
