Just tie a loop of throwline to a throwbag then larks foot that through the eye of your mainline. Either that or take a small pouch up with a throwline/bag combo up with you

I carry a small stuff bag with throwline in it but I'm fed up with stuffing it back in after use so was trying to come up with somthing that can retract after use

30 /40 lb fishing line loaded on a cheap telescopic rod / reel . Pull off the slack , throw line into tree and then reel in . Or cast her if its a big un :001_smile:

You must be doing massive tree's to carry extra throwline in the tree with you.Just clip a throwbag on the end of your climbing line and you can throw it further that coiling your rope up as normal.

No not particularly high but I do alot of rec climbing alone and the last thing I want to do is risk my rope getting caught up using it as a throwline!
