did you order the axe sharpner as well? its a handy bit of kit for the axes and knifes as well, couple of draws through once a week keeps them razor sharp!

I didn't Charlie, but I've got more sharpening implements and gadgets than soft mick :001_tongue:

use a fibreglass handle maul...nothing like the satisfying crack of a nice big round splitting..:001_smile:

I've never tried to split it dry...we only split that up because we had to carry it all out down 2 flights of stone steps.

 

Do you dry it and burn it then matty..??

why thanks for the great tip ill try and remember it for next time i have a eucy to do and i have all the time in the world....i did the same last time i felled a eucy found it in the heap yesterday in quarter rings ,stuff is like trying to split rocks!
