Stihl 009 - not a true top handle saw but a capable and decent little saw. It wassaid to be the biggest ever selling saw in the US - got one myself and was my first saw.

 

No AV but is good for small firewood although a pretty old design now.

I reckon it would do your hands in carving with it for any length of time, even an hour and you would know about it!

Its a really old heavy saw by today's standards , personally I would leave well alone, the picture looks better than it really is, we last used them about 15 ish years ago. But if you are really interested then buy it but its not worth more than £50

Yeesh haven't seen one of those for years. I think they made an 011 aswell. Did the job for a long while until we got an 020 with the old metal casing.
