I think those two are different sizes to each other so whether or not theyre comparable is an interesting issue. Steve I think it was recommended I look into the Yale Blue Moon I think it is, which is 12mm same as the poison ivy and tachyon. I havent found anywhere that keeps it in stock in the UK yet though.

Apparently tacchyon is now wat is known as a type a rope( which is ment for intensive use)

All over ropes are now classed as type b e.g xtc plus, spearmint, blaze yarda yarda. which means they are for more occasional use. Obviously this is a load of crap as that didnt exist before tacchyon was created.

Ive tried tacchyon and it is nice but more money. Alot of places are stopping to stock blaze so maybe u can get a deal on their last bits of stock.Thats wat i did. I like the blaze brade on brade design

Yale Blaze is 11.5 24 strand

New England Tachyon is 11mm 24 strand

Both seem to sell as well as each other at the moment but the New England prices are about to go through the roof and i think the Tachyon is going to be about 50% more expensive than the Yale Blaze.

I found that my tachyon and lockjack combination is jerky, lockjack runs much better with blaze

your problem is that tachyon is 11.5 rather than blaze at 11.1mm

try using your other clutch

also blaze is a bit firmer
