Trees by Bon Watson is a good one

Aboriculture by Harris Clark and matheney is also good.

Trees and forests a colour guide by Bryan Bowes covers a lot.

The three yellow books principles of tree hazard management and assessment, diagnosis of I'll health in trees and the body language of trees are must haves.

Most important book to read along side all of the tree and P&D identification books is "Tree Preservation Orders" A guide to the law and good practice - DETR isbn 1 85112 361 x and additions. :thumbup1:
