anyone tow 3.5t regularly with a defender.

I regularly tow to capacity with a 110 DC TDCI, it takes it BUT the brakes take a hammering!

 

That depends how good your trailer brakes are IMO.

 

If your being "pushed" by the load on your trailer, its brakes are either not upto the job or are in need of attention.

I have a P reg Landy 130 with tipper and reguarly tow my 3.5 tonne ifor with chipper, chips, logs etc. Great kit like was mentioned keep trailer brakes in good nik though. Mine is a 300 tdi puls like a train. I have had one stolen too. So do all you can to keep it safe.
