Inspector can not over rule manufacturers specifications.

Some harnesses have a longer life span recommended by manufacturer. EKN Kolibri for instance, 7 or 8 years as I recall.

what about climbing gear being brought into the country by a climber? equip that has been used by the climber-do you just need toi show date of first use??

and a treemotion can last 6months:001_tt2: so look for manufactures spec there is no five year rule just a guide line if you dont know better.

I would buy a new harness, but the only one I'd buy is a TM, and there is nothing wrong with the one I'v got.
