Ive used the 160xl without the turntable and it was pretty paintful tbh and has a small infeed,Mind you i was using the 12" most days then using that now and again..

seems incredible that such a reputable make as vermeer couldn't do a bit better then that. Theocus, I don't mean to offend your chipper:001_smile:

We have had a few due to our bigger machine being repaired on a regular basis.

Here is a video of the 160 at work, make your own assumptions on performance!

I'd be tearing my hair out if I had to use that thing all day. Stress levels would be through the roof just waiting for the brash to go through.

Dont worry about offending me i do not own one of these, this one had 10 hrs on it, the blades were sharp and it was the longest chipping day of my life!

Here is another video of another 160 with 15 demo hrs on it, Vermeer do big machines very well!!!

Itd be worth sticking a bit in the chipper then go and have a tea break and wait for it to finish:001_rolleyes:

Smoke out the shoot is deffo dull blades.

I know they are not a serious chipper but for the occasional user. Even my Bandit performs crap with even slightly dulled blades, hence i sharpen them every 4 or 5 hours, totally different machine.
