Has anyone put some good hours on one of these sub 750kg chippers yet. I would like to know the longevity of them, ie has the indeed hopper belled out, has the area round the anvils worn round, have they developed any wobbles rattles or clanks

I think mine has done 16 hours so far.

Acorn have had QCs since they first came out, theirs must have some serious hours/ abuse.

We have had a few due to our bigger machine being repaired on a regular basis.

Here is a video of the 160 at work, make your own assumptions on performance!

I have a 150vtr which is the same as a 150 but tracked and thats done 1600 hours, don't know if thats a lot by chipper standards, hopper has belled out a bit- obviously not ideal but its doesn't effect the chipper at all.

blimey, that has to be THE slowest chipper ever. are all vermeer 160s like that or is there something wrong with that one?
