I totally agree. I gave my groundie some single malt last year. He invited me to his for a few drinks and asked if he should get the whisky out. He went off to get the lovley single malt i had spent my hard earned cash on. To my horror the idiot had topped it up with coke and ice, how uncouth:thumbdown:

I then showed him the error of his ways, lesson learnt.

Philistine,.... The only place for Coke is with cheap commercial sour mash Bourbon

 

Santa usually brings me a bottle of Bushmills distillery reserve, now there is a smooth drink

Talisker is a lovely whisky. I am just finishing off a bottle of Jura which I have really enjoyed. Talisker and Oban are my faves though.

 

Hey - that's a nice perk to be given by a client! We did get tea and freshly baked scones this week which was a highlight, but whisky - dang, you must be good!!

The client is a tree contractor and the bottle was a bonus for fixing his chipper in a Sunday.

 

His brother lives near the distillery.
