Just have my 020 hanging in some rockclimbing swing gates from my hip and a captive eye 3way (old) to connect to the back of my harness. My silky hangs from a small steel crab from my leg loop.

Use a petzle carry tool for cambium saver/ropeguide.

Have a dmm sentinel for my strop, bought it for it so then all my other biners could stay for climbing. It's nice and small so sits nicely at the back on my harness and doesn't snag. Just replaced my caritools with some dmm wire gates.

Carabiners for saws come under LOLER so if they are defective they should not be used, However rigging carabiners only have to have a 2 way action. IMO for the sake of £20 a couple of correctly working attachments is not too much to expect.

Cheers for the info and ideas.:thumbup1:

Didnt realise the tool crabs needed LOLER!

Although the ones I use still work fine its just when I buy new ones for climbing they get moved on.

Interesting about the wire gate instead of the caritool(which I use and do like) how do they compare or should I say why the change?

I've got a couple of caritools for clipping the 020 to and an old twist gate that gets stuck on the end of the strop.

I prefer the caritool as it has a flatter bit on the spine. I would have thought that wire gates would work themselves flat wouldn't they? Be a pain in the arse trying to clip something in when the crab is flat IMO
