Muffler modding MS361?

Hope someone can help. I'm wanting to mod a 361 but as the exhaust is a sealed unit I'm wondering whats the best way forward.

 

So, has anyone ever done one, bought one in from states etc, if so, any info, pics, links as I'm (pardon the punn) baffled with this one!

Do stihl sell a dual port for it?

You will have to split the can, heat the seam bend it out.

 

I have a spare exhaust with the innards stripped out if you wanna cross my palm you can have it?

carls idea, or if you have a mig just grind the seam edge, split the can then run a bead of weld along the seam again

all i did was take the exhaust off drill holes in the baffier, it gave it about 15 to 20 more power, turned it into a far better saw

I took the baffles out so now it's an empty can with a larger exit.

Think we had better mention that the Carb H screw may need an anticlockwise tweak before running, do some deep cuts and look at the colour of the plug - coffee colour is good, white or graphite grey isn't - weak or overheating.

 

You should hear the saw fourstroke at the top end at WOT and then clear in the cut, a tach is a bonus to tuning if you can get hold of one........ but I am sure someone with far more experience will come up and contradict me as has been the case lately:lol:
