we took a days holiday! the odd day is one thing but its been getting silly of late, im going to buy a woodmizer and construct an Ark.

I love it when they impose hosepipe bans or declare a BBQ summer, it guarantees to rain constantly from that day forth!

Just got in soaked through,knocking down drag & chip a few good sized leylandi,Detol bath here I come!

Shifted 5 ton of sharp sand by wheelbarrow, down 3 awkward steps from front to back garden. Just got the last barrow done an the heavens opened.

Went to job this morning. Gate was locked the person who rents the house wasn't in so couldn't get in. It started raining so went home then priced up a couple of jobs.

Supposed to be burning brash this week, well that aint gonna happen least of all today! Monsoon or what! At least I can cosy up in the barn and sit on the splitter whilst sitting it out.

had no work got called off due to weather, got a call from someone i know they want me to cut someones hedge, got double wages cant moan at that

Ah, the luxury of being able to call off jobs for weather..... Dismantled an oak which had split apart into a field, about 4ft deep with grass/bramble etc etc, of course what was left of the oak was over buildings. Then dismantled a dirty great ivy covered ash. It rained from the moment we got there till we packed up at 4, then the sun came out for the journey home!

Boss was at home, bless him.

cant cancel work , when a jobs booked in its in as got another job full time 3days ... got a text from my groundy 'going to be raining tomorrow' my reply ' waterproofs'
