had a piece that was being hooked out of a tree fall and bend on a section of ours a while back. from memory we just popped it out and popped the next bit along. not great as its a section shorter but it works. cant help you with info on spares though sorry mate

Hi Nelly, had the same problem with a 4.2m I was using the loppers attachment and the branch got tangled and bent the lower section like it was a..........thin aluminium oval section or a plastic straw. After some consideration I calculated the section modulus and calculated the load on the section and concuded that it wasn't up to the job. I knew the Engineering Degree would come in useful. Anyway I pointed all this out and the fact that a product must be fit for function as it was described as "professional" and the supplier backed down and supplied a replacement part free of charge. In hindsight I wish I had bought a different product.
