So i've been a massive idiot today and at the end of a long hard day I started rushing and put chain oil in my fuel tank!

I poured it out immediately, but im lost on how to fix it.

Really need it for work tomorrow but im aware thats unlikely, form what I understand i need to flush all the lines and carb?

can anyone help please?

I doubt the thread will stay on here very long because of the title :001_rolleyes:

Just flush the tank out a few times and it should be fine, no need to rinse the carb or fuel lines unless you have run the saw.

Had it happen a few times over the years and only ever rinsed the tank out.

Ok I've just changed the thread title, though in breach of forum rules on swearing, my reason being that I can understand the sentiment behind the thread, and the content of the thread can help others who've messed up refuelling. Woody, please refrain from that type of language in future, thanks. :001_smile:

No i didn't run it! I realised what id done as soon as i started so i didn't actually put much in. thanks for your quick responses guys, ill go swill it out now.

As above then, just give it a good swill out, it might be a bit smokey if you dont get it al out but it will clean up with time and be fine.
