i would say no you don't as people should not be straying off the path, if you block it and they have to climb over things then thats a different matter. i'm not a legel expert so don't hold me to it but thats the way i see it, If you need insurance just because some one goes in your yard that should'nt be there can you imagine the amount of insurance you would need for every day life.

I have always kept my log piles low for fear of people (trespassers) injuring themselves. My yard has a frequently used footpath running alongside and I know people go in. My question is, do I need insurance?

 

If someone injuries themselves in your yard and you are found at fault ie the log stack moved etc then you can be sued unfortunately.

Very true!

 

Thats why I make my piles so high :sneaky2: they couldn't survive the fall, when I get back to the yard I just look for body's and dispose of them.

 

The dead can't sue!.
