We don't know the circumstances that lead to these cuts. It may well have been the new boy on the firm given a free run for a few mins. .

Inexcusable James, a new kid, if that incompetent should be supervised and his work checked after.

I someone did that working for me I'd bounce them down the road so hard!!

im not going to name him and even if aye reported him dont they would give a damm.

ive seen this guys work all over the place we have also in some cases been called in to sort his shoddy work he's left behind him.this same guy as been seen using a pole saw from a harness it reall rattels my cage that he can work for local authorities and get away with it. ive personly seen this guy rining timber with a 6 yr old child running around to close to the area. what an inspirational guy to young arborist like myself.

Well guys,

you might think this is bad but our local authority contracted this work to the anon. contractor. The Authority carries out countless acts of professional vandalism on trees via there commercial services roads dept. Diggers putting drains next (within 1 metre of mature rootplate)--hmm wonder whats going to happen to the tree in question. All we seem to be able to do is shop them and have it held against us so they can say oh well we have plenty of trees. For how long?

I think we all have a joint responsibility for the well-being and good management of trees. If a contractor is out there doing this kind of work then something should be done about it. Its public money that is being spent...used to line the pockets of a contractor who obviously does not give a dam.

May I suggest you send those pics to the local paper. They will run a story, it’ll embarrass the council, local residents will protest at how their money is being spent. The council will need to be seen to be doing something about it.....i.e. change their contractor. No more damage to trees.

you are rite john this guy should be run out of town even if the cuts where not made by him in person it is his responsibility to check out work carried out by his team. if that was me that had made them cuts aye would have been sent down the road skidding on my arse.

and for the joe public to walk by and see this shoddy workmanship it gives us a bad reputation. where its not the case
