I'm currently studying for my FdSc in Forestry at Sparsholt. We have a lot of lectures with the FdSc Arbs, especially in the first year. We have seperated a bit into our own fields now after our placement years though. Do you have to do a placement year at other colleges?

I'm on placement year now as an assistant TO at Bolton council. There are some sights to be seen lol. I'm looking forwards to getting back into study though.

Myerscough is great so long as you can drive to get the night life in. The campus itself is very nice and apart from the golfers and footballer chavs most people are spot on. The arb unit at Myerscough is supposedly excellent. I can say with certainty that one or two of the lecturers here are in the top few % of their field no doubt. other areas are a bit lax but perhaps thats just my impression of the first year where you get all the drop outs.

Thinking about doing the FdSc in Arboriculture at Askham Bryan next year on a part time basis. Anybody else doing / done it and if so how many days a week it is ??

Considered doing the online course at Myersclough, but don't feel that I'm disciplined enough.
